5-Hit Game for Chapa Wednesday, August 26th , 2054 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Gerald Chapa is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Charleston Townies at Ballpark of Amity Gardens. The monster effort from the 17-year-old third baseman helped the Brunswick Squares get the win, 14-4. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Townies manager Jack Chappell. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Gerald Chapa hit a solo-shot off Rizaldo Padoga in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Rizaldo Padoga in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, doubled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 8th.
